If you aren’t familiar with this unofficial holiday, here’s a little background. Galentines Day actually became popular thanks to a tv show. The main character in the show Parks and Recreation, Leslie Knope, gathers her lady friends together every year on February 13th to celebrate each other no matter what their relationship status is. I love celebrating our gal pals and besties. Every woman and girl needs a good friend. This holiday is the perfect time to tell her how much she means to you!
Getting together in the time of social distancing is tricky, but you can still hang out virtually. Watch a movie together over face time or zoom. Send her dinner via a delivery service to pamper her. Or even gather a few items and drop off some goodies at their doorstep. Here are a few ideas that I love for Galentines Day gift baskets.
I love having new things to pamper myself with. As a busy working mom and wife, it can be hard to take a few minutes to just relax and take a break from the never-ending to-do lists. A box of pampering supplies is always a good idea for anyone! Here’s what I would include in mine:

Do you remember those Best Friends Forever necklaces from elementary school? Who didn’t have one at some point? If you and your besties love jewelry, put together a basket with some cute earrings, a necklace and even some pretty flowers! For added fun, pamper yourself with the same jewelry so you can both match!

There are so many cute things out right now. Since we are all sticking close to home for the most part, the messy buns and tousled curls are all the rage! I love a good scrunchie or hair scarf for buns and braids. And who can resist the cute beanies that are out right now?! They are the perfect way to cover up hair that needs to be washed. Not that any of us would ever do that, right? Ha!
